Shopify AEO and GEO Apps in 2026: An Honest Comparison

Disclosure: we make AgentIQ, one of the apps below. Every fact about the other apps comes from their public Shopify App Store listings, checked on October 18, 2026. Facts about AgentIQ come from our own listing and product docs. Where another app is cheaper or does something we do not, we say so.

The apps on it do not do the same thing. Some write one file. Some rewrite your product data. Some only measure. One is a chat widget with a visibility report attached. They all turn up in the same AI answers, and the prices run from free to $1,199 a month.

So here is what each one actually sells, in its own words, next to ours.

Three Kinds of App Wear the Same Label

• llms.txt generators. They publish a plain-text summary of your store for AI tools to read. Quick to set up and cheap. They do not change the product data a shopping agent compares.
• Catalog and content fixers. They audit titles, descriptions, metafields and structured data, then suggest edits you approve.
• Trackers. They measure where you show up: prompts, citations, rankings, and the traffic and revenue AI sends you.

Most apps mix two of these. Knowing which one you need is most of the decision.

RankerGPT: AI Chat Optimizer

One job, done simply. RankerGPT generates and maintains an llms.txt file from the products, collections, pages and blog posts you choose, and does not touch the storefront. There is a free plan; the paid plan is $29 a month or $99 a year, and the listing shows the same features on both. If an llms.txt file is all you want, this is the cheapest way to get one. It does not edit product data or track results.

AgentiGEO

A catalog auditor. AgentiGEO checks products against 30+ AI-readiness rules, gives each one an Agent Visibility Score, and uses AI to fill gaps such as missing GTINs, weak descriptions and empty metafields, with every change approved by you. It includes an llms.txt generator and says it tracks revenue from ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity. Plans run free to $99 a month. It launched in May 2026 and has no reviews yet.

Geofy: GEO/AEO Optimization

The cheapest paid fixer on the list. Geofy audits product content, suggests title, description and structured-data edits you approve, adds JSON-LD tags, publishes an “AI Shop Intro” on your storefront and shows AI crawler and referral activity. The free plan covers 20 product “polishes” a month; the top plan is $19.90 for 1,000. It launched in March 2026 and has no reviews yet.

Comergent AEO Agentic Commerce

A broad toolkit, and the longest-listed of the dedicated AEO apps here: launched April 2025, rated 4.3 from 13 reviews. Comergent generates llms.txt, tracks which prompts and AI channels recommend you and which products get cited, optimizes product content and FAQs, and reports AI-driven traffic and revenue. It also lists ChatGPT ads tracking, which we do not offer. Pricing is usage-based: $0 a month, a $899 minimum credit purchase, $1 a credit. Its listing carries the Built for Shopify badge; ours does not yet.

Alhena: AI Shopping Concierge

Not a like-for-like entry. Alhena is listed under Chat: an AI shopping and support assistant that runs on your own site, across chat and voice. Its “AI Visibility” feature shows how products appear across AI search platforms, which is why it comes up in these lists. If you want an on-site assistant too, it is worth a look: it is the only app here that puts an agent on your storefront. (Our on-site agent, AMS, is a separate product, not part of AgentIQ.)

AgentIQ (ours)

AgentIQ starts from the shopping prompt, not the file. It finds the prompts shoppers use for your products, ranked by demand and opportunity, then tracks where your products rank for them in Shopify Catalog results next to competitors. It writes Agentic Product Listings around those prompts, improves categories, metafields and FAQs in bulk, and measures AI shopping traffic and revenue by agent, product and day. Your website product page is left as it is.

Autopilot ($799 a month) runs all of that for you from a Slack channel: weekly goals, daily fixes, and a check on every listing it publishes at day 7, 30 and 90, with every change undoable.

Where Others Are the Better Pick

• You want it free. AgentiGEO, Geofy, RankerGPT and Alhena all have free plans. AgentIQ does not; it starts at $49 a month for up to 50 products, with a trial.
• You want an llms.txt file. RankerGPT, AgentiGEO and Comergent generate one. Our listing does not include an llms.txt generator.
• You want a cheap content pass on a small catalog. Geofy tops out at $19.90 a month and AgentiGEO at $99.
• You want ChatGPT ads tracking or an on-site chat agent. Comergent lists the first, Alhena is the second. AgentIQ does neither.

Where AgentIQ Is Different

Several apps here measure AI traffic and revenue, and several audit content. The parts only our listing claims are these:
