Newsletter February 2026: A playbook to win agentic storefronts in the next 90 days
Hi there,
Tamir here from 40rty. As always, sharing here market updates and what we're working on to help navigate agentic commerce.
Agentic storefronts are live across ChatGPT and Gemini. We're now shifting focus towards agent optimization - optimizing listings so they don't just show up, they convert.

The shift: Agentic Listing mapping
It's now possible to provide different context for:
- Humans browsing your website and product pages
- Agents querying for catalog listing directly
That matters because humans and agents need different information to build confidence and make a decision. This is how Shopify instructs to do it.
The playbook: run two layers of context
Your PDP can stay marketing / conversion driven:
- Brand story
- Lifestyle
- Long-form copy
- Rich visuals
But agent listings need decision-driven, structured context:
- Who is this for
- What it's used for
- What this isn't for (more on that below)
- What an agent should be careful about recommending
If you treat both layers the same, you usually get one of two outcomes:
- Your human pages look great, but agents skip you
- You overstuff the PDP and confuse shoppers
What we shipped: 40rty Agentic Metadata Fields
To help operators manage this cleanly, we're releasing Agentic Metadata Fields - built specifically for agent listings and auto-populated with the context agents typically focus on.
Generated per SKU:
- Use cases (what it's actually used for)
- User personas (who it's a fit for)
- Negative exclusions (who it's NOT for / when NOT to recommend)
- Attribute sentiment from reviews (e.g., "runs small", "too heavy", "great for sensitive skin")
Goal: give agents what they need to recommend confidently - without messing up your human PDP.
Momentum
Our agentic commerce auditing tool is the hottest thing in the space right now - it's completely free and you can share it with your team to start experimenting.
We grew 100% in January, and February is already moving faster. Thank you for the feedback loops - they're directly shaping what we ship. You can always get in touch with our product team.
90-day operator framework (simple + effective)
If you're building your next 90 days strategy:
- Pick 10 intents you care about most (category + brand-defining)
- Make sure your hero SKUs have agent-ready context for those intents
- Add exclusions so agents don't recommend you in the wrong scenarios
- Use review sentiment to strengthen/soften claims based on reality
This is how you turn "we are listed" into "we get picked."
